What is the difference between scoliosis and kyphosis? They both cause the spine to curve, right?

Scoliosis is a curve or curves in the spine that go from side to side. You can have one curve, or you can have two, shaped almost like an "S". Kyphosis is a curve as well, but it's outward. This is the type of curve that you see with people who have humped backs. The spine is curving out and then inwards again.
