I am 45 and have a non-traumatic rotator cuff tear. I’ve heard that sometimes physical therapy can help with this so I won’t have to have surgery. Is this true?

While this is true for the older population, it is not recommended to avoid rotator cuff surgery in the younger population. This is because the tear will ensure continued joint degeneration, which will not bode well for you in years to come.
