Hi,

Almost 2 1/2 years ago I had Laminectomy Disectomy. Everything went fine, all the pain existed before was not there anymore. But a few months ago I started experiencing sever leg pain associated with tingling and numbness. I went to see my Dr. and he recommended and MRI which revealed that I had a recurrent herniation. He suggested surgery immediately. I was reluctant to undergo a second open back surgery, so I asked for a second opinion.

I have been diagnosed with Ulnar Neuropathy and the dr wants to do nerve transposition surgery. I would like to take a less aggressive path. Any suggestions???

Today is the first time since my hip fusion that I saw an ortho doc. His name was Doctor Yap and practices out of Lapeer and Flint, Michigan. He was awesome. He was smart, kind, understanding, and really listened to my concerns.

He informed me, ever so kindly, that my hip fusion 'stuck' and that I should probably 'stick' with it. I other words, my fusion was sucsessful. He did say that if I were to find a doc who would work on me , he said he would not touch me because he is a sports surgeon, that now is the time to have a THR.

I told my husband; Having a fused hip is like wearing really tight pants all the time and even though you are uncomfortable you can't take them off.

He is very supportive about my hip fusion and wants me to wait for surgery until we know for sure that I cannot take hip fusion anymore.

I'll tell ya, I cannot take hip fusion any more.

I want to run and ride a bike. Sit with my Emma on the floor and read her a book. Sit on any floor and do anything.

I am 27 years old and a mother of two young girls. I am hoping for a THR or Resurfacing, which ever will work for me.

I do not have much pain but the complete lace of mobility is driving me nuts. I am unsure if that is reason enough to have a surgery, but I am visiting an Ortho Doc tomorrow to go over options. I have never been to another Doctor since by right hip fusion in 98'. My hip has not been much of a problem until I had kids, gained weight, and now when I try to play with them it is stressfull situation to say the least.

Have severe arthritis in my hands, but as of this morning have been experiencing severe pains in my lower left leg? It feels like someone has a pair of pliers gripping into my leg. It comes and goes at present it is sort of pulsating?? Does anyone have any idea what this could be and what could be causing this??

my daughter has a hemivertebrae at the bottom of her spine,at the moment she has a 27 degrees bend to the left.she has problems with her walking which we have been told is due to her spine.Also she has a funny shaped head and is short sighted which is connected to her head shape.could this all be connected to her spine?We have been told she will have to be operated on at some point,what will it all entail as no-one is really telling us at the moment

I am having the screws in my tibia and fibula removed next week for a high ankle sprain. I do not know what to expect since I won't see my physician until the day of the surgery. Is there a lot of dicomfort and will i go to non-weight baring again and for how long? Thanks. CL

I was recently diagnosed with this at or near the elbow. I have been having problems which started with my elbow, then my thumb, wrist, and now my pinky and rink finger. What are all the treatments for this disorder? I've tried everything except surgery
