Shoulder
Heavy Arm...Violent Spasms...Immobility - Any Ideas?
Posted August 4th, 2008 by whatnow2008Imagine going for a regular, routine deep tissue massage and waking up the next day with an extreme heaviness in your right arm. You are unable to lift it without pain. Would you suspect a dislocated shoulder?
moderate supraspinatus and infraspinatus tendinosis
Posted July 30th, 2008 by sudhi7 Months ago, I had problem bowling in cricket (something similar to baseball pitching). Initially the doc suspected that I might have something called as "tendon" impingement. I was given anit-inflammatory. The condition didn't improve and I still had pains when my arm is raised above my head to pitch. [ Bowling has a full arm rotation for pitching]
The doc then suspected that I might have a tear in the rotatory cuff and MRI was done. The MRI says that I've "moderate supraspinatus and infraspinatus tendinosis". So I got a cortisone shot to the shoulder.
Multiple surgerys
Posted July 19th, 2008 by mattlawsonI've had two bankart repairs, both with capsulary shifts over the last three years. Recently I've been having terrible, arm numbing pain in the same shoulder. The reason I had the second surgery was that I had torn the anchors that were used. They used three times the number of anchors in the second surgery and told me it was going to be nearly impssible to tear them again. I'm worried that once again I have torn the anchors out and now there isn't much holding my shoulder in place. Is this possible?

painful pop in shoulder
Posted April 16th, 2008 by bakedguardI was a competitive swimmer in high school and now swim recreationally and while working as a lifeguard. A few months ago I felt a painful pop in my shoulder while lifting a boat and I was diagnosed with impingement and instability. I did 8 weeks of PT and all was well. Recently I got back in the pool, to begin light workouts for lifeguarding I am now experiencing a painful pop during the pull of my stroke...this also seems to occur randomly when reaching for things. Any ideas as to what this may be?
MRI reveals tendinopathy, mild degenerative arthrosis, and small amount of fluid in bursae
Posted April 4th, 2008 by Ivory88My recent MRI reveals tendinopathy, mild degenerative arthrosis, and a small amount of fluid in bursae. This was a relief since my symptoms of pain up to level 7 in the shoulder have gone on for 12 weeks in spite of twice-weekly physical therapy and the performance of my exercises. Fortunately, the pain (on tucking in my shirt or putting on a shirt, washing my hair, etc.) would go away within 2 minutes.

what is the best exercise for shoulder
Posted January 29th, 2008 by ilkkrtdo you know what kind of exercises can we do for shoulder problems? should we follow the same kind of exercises for torn rotator cuff, for frozen shoulder or bursitis problems. I am asking this because there seems no problem in my MRI but i really have problems with my shoulder in my daily life. So if i follow a kind of exercise for example for torn rotator cuff would it be harmful for, say it, bursitis problem?
Calcific tendonitis

Tore Subscapularis tendon while surfing..Surgeon wants to reattach my bicep and lower it a bit!
Posted December 8th, 2007 by Surfer_GregA few weeks ago I tore my subscapularis tendon while surfing in La Jolla, San Diego. The wave crashed down on me and sent me diving forward. This is when the entire weight of the wave crashed down on my shoulder. As I penetrated underwater, I was in intense pain.
Today the Doc told me that he might have to cut my bicep and reattach it lower, so it is not in the way of the subscapularis tendon. He says that this will prevent the bicep from destroying the new tendon repair!
Is this a common procedure?
What's your advice to be 100% again?
