wrist pane

in

Hi
My problem started four and a half years ago when I tore my right rotart cuff.
This was fixed two years ago, while I was trying to work I used my left alot, and that brought wrist pane.
I thought it was a ganglion. But nope.
In Jan. they did a MRI and in six weeks I was at the orthopods office and he told me a bone in my wrist was not getting the proper blood supply, he also it was rare for this to happen on its own.

Severe sprain of three fingers recovery time/therapy questions

in

During a raquetball game, I fell forward landing on my palm up hand while my fingers caught on the floor and hyper-extended under my hand and body weight. I thought I broke many of them.

It was diagnosed as a severe sprain, x-ray shows no broken bones. It's across 3 fingers (middle, ring, pinky). When it happened, I was told it should be better in a week to 10 days. It wasn't. I thought maybe since it was severe, I would need additional time to heal.

Wrist - Torn Cartilage and Cast? HELP!!!

in

Back in 2007 I was a food server and torn cartilage in my right wrist lifting trays. After MRI's, worker's comp, and seeing so many doctor's no one had an answer. The doctor said the tare was to small for surgery. I don't want surgery however I am still having pain. I wear a wrist guard all the time. No doctor really knows what I have, they just keep hurting it when they perform the exams.

Should I put a cast on it? So it doesn't move and it can heal on it's own?

I have had it removed and it immediatly returned. simpl things like taking a shower or shaking hands or even giving 5 to my kids can make me wish for death, the pain is so bad, Hell i cant even handle changing my son diapers. the littlest tap or wrong movement of my fingers triggers pain that doctors say is equivalent to being nailed to the cross. The romans nailed thru the medial nerve in the hand for a reason.. it is excruciating. can someone help/??????????

My thumb won't extend

in

I am 52 and I have been a manicurist for 15 years, I think I have wore something out in my thumb. It all of a sudden became so painful and I notice I can't bend it back. When I try to hold it still it wiggles by itself, like a nervous shake. I did cut the underside of the base of my thumb last summer, 2 stitches later it healed and never hurt after, could I have cut a tenden and not know it and it finally gave way after use? I can hardly hold a pen!

My hand is in constant pain

in

So, I was attacked about a year ago.. and lucky enough to have insurance at the time (lucky enough to live to tell about it). My hands and fingers fingers had been cut in an attempt to ward of my attacker and my tendons were severed in 3 of my fingers. I did have surgery to fix them.. and didn't do much in the way of therapy (I had lost my job as a result of my hopitilization) and could not afford the co-pays. I am now insurance-less.. and my hand is stuck in this claw. It hurts.. I can type.. but.. am wondering if I can get an additional surgery done to get my normal fingers back?
