Joint pain where big toe meets metatarsals
Posted July 19th, 2008 by RizuA few days ago the joint where my big toe and the metatarsals meet began to ache. I don't recall stubbing my toe, though it's perfectly possible. I haven't been running or doing any kind of heavy exercise lately.
Now I have limited movement; it is painful to try and flex the toe upwards, though downwards isn't nearly as bad. Also, putting weight on the ball of my foot is very painful. The pain is consistent, and only disperses when I take aspirin and put ice on it.
foot pain(outside right and bottom right side)
Posted April 28th, 2008 by exivereshi there,
i have been having some pain on the outter right side and underneath my foot.
it noticed it in the last 10 miles of a 50 mile race i ran last weekend.
i only feel the pain when i run. walking has gives little to no pain.
i was told it might be a peroneal tendon strain. however the symptoms dont match up.
the pain stays on the outter right side of my right foot and the pain can be felt underneath too.
any ideas?
Weak ankle tendons
Posted April 14th, 2008 by DmccrumbI have a history of foot problems. I have had bunion surgery on both feet. The problem is that my tendons do not support my ankle bones. I have had, for the past 6 years - constant ankle pain. It seems to go from foot to foot and outside to inside. Once one side is feeling better the other side or foot begins to hurt. I wear orthodics. The 2 specialists I have seen have suggested that I walk as little as possible and that there is not much that they can do.
Posterior Tibial Tendon Rupture
Posted March 28th, 2008 by michaeltI recently tore my posterior tibial tendon resulting from over-aggressive professional physical therapy (on or about March 6th), following a surgery attempt to regenerate the same partially torn tendon using topaz injections (?) back in December. I visited a podiatrist for surgery measures, but he is not appearing to want to move quickly to initiate surgery. My foot /ankle is currently inside a boot (with an orthotic arch underneath my foot).
Hot Feet
Posted February 24th, 2008 by EmmaHello,
I was wondering if anyone else had expereinced hot feet at night while they were trying to sleep?
My mother has been diagnoised with morton's neuroma in both her feet and although her feet are hot during the day, she is now increasingly starting to get painful feet as well.
Mainly, I find it strange that my mum's feet get hot at night, when she is not on them! they get so hot she cannot sleep.
I'm not sure if this is the neuroma but would appreciate anyone thoughts/experiences.
Thank you,
emma
Strained Lateral plantar fascia??
Posted January 31st, 2008 by runningpadI hope this is a good place to post a question like this... if not, please let me know.
I went running on Monday for the first time in a long while. The run was for 4 miles. At the end of the run, my foot felt really sore around the area of the lateral plantar fascia. Not sure if that is really what is strained, but that is the area of where the pain is. That afternoon my foot felt more sore and to this day continues to be sore.
Posterior tibial tendon repair/recovery time
Posted November 20th, 2007 by briggsI have a torn posterior tibial tendon. It was torn about 10 years ago. I am scheduled to have surgery Dec. 14, 2007.
The repair will include tendon transfer, bone graft, pins and possible scraping of arthritis from a joint.
I am a self employed bricklayer. My job includes heavy lifting, walking on uneven ground, climing up and down scaffold and all the other enjoyable things bricklayers get to do.
I told my surgeon I have 3 months maximum to recover from this surgery. He told me that would be a minimum but it could be done.
Whiplash and Foot Pain
Posted October 8th, 2007 by SherylI was a passenger in a friend's pickup truck last March. We were traveling on the Interstate, came around a curve and there was a road crew at the bottom of the hill. There was a highway patrolman at the top of the hill that had his vehicle light flashing to warn drivers that traffic would have to merge or stop at the bottom of the hill. At the time, I was sitting crosslegged, shoes off, and reading an article to the driver. My head was down. I was aware that the truck had slowly come to a stop but I continued reading and was not distracted by it.
Foot Pain
Posted September 29th, 2007 by MichelleI am a ballet dancer. My instep (plantarflexion) is not very good, specially in my left foot. I tried exercises in two diferent ocasions to increase the flexibility of my feet. Unfortunately in both ocasions, after one month of dayly exercises, my plantarflexion did not increase and the only thing I got was a strong pain in the Achilles tendon area and the bones at the forefoot. I think there is something stoping my feet bones. I suspect I could have an Ankle Impingement in both feet. However normally I do not feel pain or have any problems unless I have been stretching regularly for a month.
