Right hand laceration

August 27th 11:30pm
Laceration by machete pulled through hand, wound treated within 1 1/2 hours, flushed, numbed and such, 23+ stiches from the base of my right thumb on the palm side up the side of the thumb above the webbing and all that good stuff, ends just below the tip of the thumb below the joint on the index finger side. and then a corresponding sort of laceration (double sided machete) on accross the thumb side of the first joint from the palm of my right index finger. figure it was to the bone, or at least feels like it, no feeling in the inside half of both fingers, right about where you'd grip. lose of movement in the last joint of the thumb, cause it cut real deep there near that joint too. So it has been a pain greater than any I can recall. not really "pins and needles sensation" more like pins and needles in my bones and muscles oh man that first week I wasn' t even myself, second week it felt like my hand was dying or at least like it had been slammed in a car door over and over, or a little like I held my hand over a stove, but I'm sure it must have just been the nerves going away. I've actually got a problem with this -my first chance to see a doctor that may actually continue treatment or actually fix my hand in surgery is three whole weeks from the incident, on the 18th. I need my hands to work! I need then to live and they're treating this like it's some thing else like it's just a thing. My livelyhood is as a professional study of hand labor so it's important to me. from what I've read online hand surgery looks pretty successful, like they've got methods that look great on adobe, but I'm concerned about it time wise and I wouldn't wish this pain upon anyone. ya know it can be difficult to read about a pain your afflicted with. like how slaves would sometimes have their thumbs busted, or how it can be fixed, but of course have to be re-opened -thus the healing I've done while waiting may just be immoblizing stuff in my hand with scar tissue. well we'll see, I'll try and stay positive, it's the only thing keeping me sane I guess ^o^
