OSD Surgery
I am 23 and I was diagnosed with OSD when I was 11. I have been a ballet dancer and snowboarder my whole life and about 3 years ago I had to stop because the pain in my right knee was so bad.
I am scheduled to have OS surgery next Thursday and just from reading some other experiences, I am a little more nervous. I know that everyone heals differently and such, but from what my doctor has told me, my situation is a little different. When looking at my x-rays and CT scan, he saw the bump but also saw that is seemed to be healed. However, the bump still moves around and that is what is causing the pain and inflamation. He believes that it could be a situation with my growth plate as well.
I guess what I am seeking is from some kind of positive feed back from this surgery. Seeing all the negative outcomes are a bit disconcerning. If anyone has had this sugery and had a postive outcome would you please contact me and ease my thoughts a bit? Thank you so much!
