Went and saw a great Doctor today
Today is the first time since my hip fusion that I saw an ortho doc. His name was Doctor Yap and practices out of Lapeer and Flint, Michigan. He was awesome. He was smart, kind, understanding, and really listened to my concerns.
He informed me, ever so kindly, that my hip fusion 'stuck' and that I should probably 'stick' with it. I other words, my fusion was sucsessful. He did say that if I were to find a doc who would work on me , he said he would not touch me because he is a sports surgeon, that now is the time to have a THR.
It is all a can of worms though. If I have a THR and then I develop infections from it or it constantly dislocates I will be in more pain than I ever have been. And believe me there has been A LOT of pain before the fusion.
You know how they always ask you to rate you pain 1 being manageable 5 being really unbearable and 10 being the worst pain ever. I would rate my hip pain a 1 but my frustrations with my hip fusion are like a 15-- (a real pain in the ass) I don't think I can justify having THR just because I want to ride a bike or take a jog. So many people cannot even walk and I can.
I need to pray about this again. I don't know what else to do
