Spinal fusions -- chronic pain
I was born with a spinal condition called Klippel-Feil Syndrome (KFS), which basically means at least 2 levels in my neck were fused from birth. People with KFS tend to have a myriad of other spine problems, too, and that is the case with me. I'm 46 years old and am now fused from C2 - T4 (C2-C3 is congenital) and from T11-S5. I am in chronic pain, but have managed to stay mobile which I think has helped keep the pain at a lower level.
I read a posting that said someone had created a website for people with spinal fusions and pain, and would love to get the website address. Talking to other people that understand is invaluable!!
