avascular necrosis

I am 26 and have been diagnosed with avascular necrosis of both hips. ive read that alcohol consumption can cause this condition and im worried i may have done this to myself. I drank rather heavily for about 4 years from the time i was about 21-24 or 25--could this be long enough to cause a condition like this so early in my life?

AVN

I am also 26 and was diagnosed with AVN in both hips when I was 22. I was always very healthy and I drank in undergrad just like everyone else. My doctors couldn't find any causes or tell me why I developed AVN so I dont think it was anything you did. You just probably had a case of bad luck, like me.
