Hello. I am new to this site and have a question regarding my 8 year old daughter with cerebral palsy. She had varus derotational osteotomy surgery last year and had pins & plates to secure her thin bones. We are concerned she may be having pain from the hardware, due to her slender build. Does anyone have any input as to how long pins should be in and any testing that can be done to confirm placement of hardware and it's potential for pain?
