Car Accident after Cervical Fusion

I had a laminectomy, diskectomy Anterior Cervical fusion
in 2001. 3 months after the fusion which had been
successful, on my way to the doctor someone ran a
red light and hit me with an impact of 80pmh. I was
hit square in the face with the airbag knocked out and
have since developed Fibromaylgia, Chronic pain and
now signs of lower disc protusions and arthritis.

I have been sent to multiple "pain specialists" as
my primary care doctor is no longer comfortable treating
me relentless pain. I am deemed disabled my Social
Security now and I am beginning to get more and
more depressed. Doctors seem to think I am malingering
and the last doctor I seen "another pain specialist" actually
told me that both accidents were years ago and there
is NO WAY I should be in pain still. Trying to explain to
him that I can hardly get out of bed no longer am able
to grocery shop, carry laundry downstairs, work, walk
my dogs seemed of no consequence to him. He actually
said anyone would be achy if they did nothing all day then
suddenly stood up and tried to move around.

I am terrified my future is in the hands of this insensitive
doctor that is suppose to be a specialist in pain mangement
and that he wants to slowly wean me off the only thing
that makes me able to have any life and that is my pain
medication. I take 60-90mg of MS Contin a day with up
to 25mg of Percocet daily for breakthrew pain.

Is there anyone out there that is in the same predictment I
am in? I feel alone and isolated even my husband is beginning
to question me since 2 specialists have now told me the same
thing.
