Surgery for Snapping triceps syndrome!!
I am 18 years old, 6 foot 3, 195lbs. I have been weight lifting for about 2 years now. About six months ago i noticed a decent amount snapping when I (did the opposite of extend) my elbow. This snapping strangely occured while i was taking a few week break from lifting. The snapping persisted, so i saw an ortho doctor. I then had an MRI which showed my ulnar nerve and part of my tricep where dislocating over my medial epocondyle, which she told me was not normal. Although this is not life threatening, i cannot go a day without loud snaps in my elbow, and it hurts if i lift weights (which i love to do). So i decided to see a elbow specialist who told me I could have surgery if i choose to, and said yes. The operation is next month, and i have been trying to find some information on the procedure but i havent been able to, its called:
Right ulnar nerve decompression and medial tricep debreavment and release.
Any thoughts on this?
THANKS!!!
