I had a traumatic motorcycle accident just over a year ago. My knee was rotated 180 degrees on impact and after several surgeries my left leg was amputated below the knee. My knee is very painful now and I have VERY limited movement in the knee. I have an extreme valgus to the stump which causes it to swing outward. Is a knee replacement a option for me? Everything I read about knee replacements states that alignment is very important and I don't know if the valgus will affect the knee replacement.
