Foot Pain
I am a ballet dancer. My instep (plantarflexion) is not very good,specially in my left foot. I tried exercises in two diferent ocasions to increase the flexibility of my feet. Unfortunately in both ocasions, after one month of dayly exercises, my plantarflexion did not increase and the only thing I got was a strong pain in the Achilles tendon area and the bones at the forefoot. I think there is something stoping my feet bones. I suspect I could have an Ankle Impingement in both feet. However normally I do not feel pain or have any problems unless I have been stretching regularly for a month. I get similar problems with plantarflexion stretching exercises. I have as well a tendency to get injuries in my left ankle. Shoul I check with a podiatrist? How can I increase my feet flexibility?
