After examining my trigger finger, my doctor suggested a cortisone injection? Is this the best treatment for my condition?

Doctors prefer to try nonsurgical treatments before going ahead with surgery. Cortisone, a strong anti-inflammatory medicine, can help reduce swelling in the nodule and stop your finger from triggering. Unfortunately, in two of every three cases, the nodule will return again within one year.
