Shoulder calcifications

I was having quite a bit of pain in my left shoulder back in April/2005 and my Doctor ordered an MRI. It showed the following:

1) Mild rotator cuff tendinopathy without evidence of rotator cuff tear.

2) Two small 3 mm foci of low signal intensity adjacent to the posterior labrum which may represent the calcifications described in the history of vs labral tear. Overall, recommend correlation with plain films.

3) Type II Acromion.

While the pain stayed there and I had no other followup, I now find it even difficult to dress myself. The pain is excruciating and I really have limited mobility. It is not only painful to move, but it feels like I have a door stop in my shoulder. My question is, do these cacifications continue to grow? or could it be something else. I opted not to have anything done before because it just wasn't worth having my shoulder pulled apart for two small little calc's and my pain wasn't nearly as bad. Anyone else have a similar story? I'd love to hear it so I can make an informed decision on what to do about this.
Thanks for listening!!
