Post knee replacement/time limit on severe pain
Having had both knees replaced and being in the fourth week of rehabilitation I have started to experience pain below the knee i;e upper shin.Is this normal ? and how long can I expect to have to endure it?
What length of time can one be expected to need strong pain killers?

i try to have patients only
i try to have patients only taking maybe 1 to 2 Lortab 7.5 at one month post-op and these are usually one before therapy and one at night. a possible diagnosis for shin pain especially if it is most tender on the anteromedial portion of the shin is pes anserine bursitis. that is where three muscles attach (sartorius, gracilis, semitedinosus) a steroid shot in that area is usually very beneficial.
