I severely fractured the middle joint of my little finger last year. the surgeon placed 6 pins and a plate in the join to repair the farcture. After 3 months he re-operated to remove the pins and extend the tendons.

Now the finger is still fractured in one spot and completely dislocated. he now advises I shold fuse the joint together.

Was it good advice to perform the second surgery after only 3 months? other doctors I have spoken to advise that the minimum amount of time should be between 6-12 months.
