eOrthopodTV Remote Experience
eOrthopodTV Remote is simply a one-on-one interview between the host, Randale C. Sechrest, MD, and a guest. In the studio, we use a format similar to the "Charlie Rose" style - two participants sitting across from one another at a table. But, when we conduct an interview with eOrthopodTV Remote, we use videoconferencing (Skype or similar technology) to conduct the actual conversation. We record each end of the interview using a standalone, compact camcorder on both ends. We conduct the actual interview over the Internet using the videoconferencing connection.
Each interview lasts about 30 to 45 minutes. Depending on your available time and your interests, multiple interviews or "shows" can be recorded during your session. You are free to keep the equipment for an extended time if you wish to do weekly interviews or “shows”.
The structure of each interview is consistent. You can download an outline of the typical structure for the condition interview and the procedure interview.
Prior to the interview, we ship you a "Studio in a Box" that contains all the equipment you need to connect to the Internet, conduct a videoconference and record your end of the conversation. Keep the Studio as long as you like and record multiple videos. After your recording session is complete, simply have FEDEX pick up the equipment and return it to us. Alternatively, you can upload the video file to one of our servers if you intend to keep the equipment for an extended period of time. Our production team edits the interview to produce the final "show", uploads the episode to a video server and incorporates each show into the eOrthopodTV channel.
This is a FREE service. We pay all the costs of production and hosting the video files.
